ESPN's mock draft suggests that the Cleveland Browns may select former Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion with the 24th overall pick. Concepcion, known for his versatility and playmaking ability, had a standout season with 919 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
Texas A&M coach Mike Elko's second NFL Draft class is expected to be his best after sending a nation-leading 13 players to the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, a list that includes star wide receiver KC Concepcion, who, after transferring from NC State before the 2025 campaign, led the Aggies in receiving yards (919), including nine touchdowns during his lone season in College Station.
One of the more versatile prospects in the draft, Concepcion's impressive performance during the combine provided all 32 team scouts in attendance with another glimpse into his bright future as a likely slot receiver with immediate potential as a punt returner, and he is widely considered a first-round pick who will likely be selected in the bottom 20s later this month.
With plenty of need around the NFL for starting-level wide receivers, teams like the Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills, and, as always, the Cleveland Browns are looking to upgrade their WR room, and, according to ESPN reporter Peter Schrager's rare mock draft, the Browns could be lucky enough to land the Aggie standout with the 24th overall pick.
"Concepcion is a do-everything wideout who averaged 15.1 yards per catch in 2025 and can also be a key playmaker in the return game. I've had multiple sources compare Concepcion to Zay Flowers. New offensive coordinator Travis Switzer and new coach Todd Monken both had Flowers in Baltimore, and they could get creative with how they use Concepcion in this offense. I had the Browns going with an offensive tackle at No. 6, but they need a playmaker, too."
The comparison to Zay Flowers makes sense, while the new Browns coach, Todd Monken, still needs to figure out who his starting quarterback is before we can project Conepcion's potential in OC Travis Switzer's scheme. Still, the Browns would be landing a locker room leader who can be trusted to lead the offense in the coming seasons.
