Leonardo Balerdi is set to leave Marseille at the end of the season, with a mutual decision made between him and the club. The Argentine center-back is valued at €30 million, and several clubs are reportedly interested in signing him this summer.
€30m-rated Leonardo Balerdi set for Marseille exit
Roberto De Zerbi challenged Leonardo Balerdi back in December. *“He needs to go to another level. He needs to decide whether he wants to become a great player, and not just a player that has great potential – with and without the ball,”*said the now-former Olympique de Marseille manager in a press conference attended by Get French Football News.
Balerdi has not kicked on since. The Italian’s exit from OM back in February has even seen the Argentina international stripped of the captain’s armband, which now belongs to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. As per a report from **Foot Mercato,**it has now been accepted that OM and Balerdi should part ways at the end of the current season.
The decision taken is mutual. Foot Mercatounderstands that, with the end of the season approaching, several clubs are already lining up a summer move for the centre-back, who is valued at €30m by Les Phocéens.
