UFC has signed Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson, who will make his debut at UFC 329 on July 11, 2026. The announcement was made during the UFC 327 broadcast.
About time.
During the UFC 327 broadcast tonight, it was officially announced that Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson has signed with the promotion.
His debut is already locked in.
Steveson is expected to make his first Octagon appearance at UFC 329 during International Fight Week on Sat., July 11, 2026, inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
No opponent has been announced yet, but that should come in the near future.
The 25-year-old enters the UFC with a perfect 3-0 MMA record and plenty of hype. He made his debut in 2025, stopping Braden Peterson in under two minutes (watch highlights) before scoring a 24-second knockout over Kevin Hein later that year (watch highlights)
He also dabbled in Dirty Boxing, flattening Billy Swanson in just 15 seconds between MMA appearances (watch highlights).
Steveson kept the momentum rolling in 2026, picking up another stoppage win over Hugo Lezama in Mexico â further proving heâs not just a wrestling specialist, but a legitimate finishing threat (watch highlights).
Heâs also scheduled to compete in Real American Freestyle (RAF) against former UFC Heavyweight Alexandr Romanov, continuing to stay active ahead of his Octagon debut.
Now comes the big question:
Who does the UFC match him up with?
Do they fast-track the decorated wrestler against a proven veteran and top 15 opponent like Marcin Tybura? Or give him a more measured introduction against an unranked, 50/50 opponent such as Thomas Petersen?
Either wayâŠ
One of the most decorated wrestling prospects in recent memory is finally on the UFC roster.
