
Grace Bickett has become the first Wisconsin women's hockey player to enter the transfer portal following the team's second consecutive national title. This move comes as the team faces changes with star defender Caroline Harvey declaring for the PWHL Draft.
While the transfer portal is nowhere near as active in women's hockey, it has still impacted the Wisconsin Badgers.
According to APX Hockey's Sydney Wolf, Badgers defender Grace Bickett has entered the transfer portal.
Bickett is the first Wisconsin women's hockey player to enter the portal after the team won its second straight national title.
Star defender Caroline Harvey went on to declare for the PWHL Draft, but now, longtime head coach Mark Johnson must replace another defensive player on this team.
Bickett, a Minnesota native, played in six games during her freshman season in 2024-25. She recorded one assist in her first season with the team.
Here in the 2025-26 season, Bickett was able to double her point total. She scored her first collegiate goal and had an assist as well. In total, Bickett appeared in 23 total games for the Badgers throughout her two-year career.
