Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez reaffirmed the club's commitment to fighting for titles during a ceremony honoring long-time fans. He emphasized the club's impressive record of 58 titles in the last 15 years, including multiple European Cups in football and basketball.
Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez talked to the club’s socios in a ceremony where some of them received the emblems to commemorate their 25 or 50 years as madridistas.
“You, who have dedicated your lives to Real Madrid, know well that no one here gives up and that we will keep fighting, year after year, until the very end to continue adding titles to the most successful record in sports history, which belongs to Real Madrid,” said Pérez.
The president also shared his thoughts on how demanding it is for Real Madrid to honor their history.
“We’ve won 58 titles in the last 15 years, including 6 European Cups in football and 3 European Cups in basketball. This demonstrates our level of self-demand, but it also compels us to reflect: to value things in their proper measure and to be aware of the challenges in achieving each triumph and each title,” he added.
Pérez concluded his message by saying that the socios should be proud of their club.
“We should be proud of our Real Madrid. A club that continues to lead the main international economic and prestige rankings,” he said.
