The Houston Rockets will face off against the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, and their road to this moment has been anything but stable. However, the team was able to secure the same win total as last year despite several major injuries. It makes sense why ESPNâs Tim Bontemps gave Houston a fairly good rating for their efforts.
Bontemps cited Houstonâs injury woes and up-and-down moments while also noting that the team finished with the same record as last season and nearly matched their preseason expected results.
Rockets fans might be left with a feeling of âwhat ifâ when it comes to the 2025-26 squad. Perhaps they would have fulfilled their potential with a healthy Fred VanVleet and Steven Adams. Nevertheless, the regular season, even if it wasnât as straightforward as fans would have hoped, wasnât a failure for Houston. Now, their attention turns to the playoffs and the Lakers.
