Indiana basketball's Nick Dorn plans to enter transfer portal
BLOOMINGTON â Indiana basketball guard Nick Dorn plans to enter the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.
The transfer window for Division 1 basketball this year is a 15-day period running from April 7-21.
Indiana has lost five players to the transfer portal in addition to the six players who were out of eligibility. Dorn was highest scoring player on the roster with eligibility left, but he will be looking for a new home for the second time in as many years.
As a junior, he averaged 8.1 points per game while shooting a team-high 38% from 3-point range.

Dorn was sidelined for much of the offseason while recovering from a Jones fracture he suffered during the 2024-25 season at Elon. The injury required a follow-up surgery after he transferred and he wasn't fully cleared to resume basketball injuries until the week of the team's season-opener.
He played limited minutes for much of November, but flashed his potential at midseason when he entered the starting lineup for an injured Tayton Conerway. He helped the Hoosiers win three straight while averaging 22.3 points per game and going 16 of 34 from deep.
Dorn just couldn't sustain that success as Indiana faded down the stretch.
Over IU's final 10 games, Dorn averaged 5.0 points â he shot 24.6% from the field â and was held without a field goal three times. He came off the bench in a 74-61 loss to Northwestern in the second round of the Big Ten tournament with coach Darian DeVries going to a two-big lineup that he hoped would give his team a spark.
Indiana opted out of postseason play after missing out on the NCAA Tournament as the fourth team out of the field. DeVries will now turn his attention to building out the team's roster alongside Ryan Carr, his newly hired executive director of basketball.
