After Bayern’s 5-0 win away to St Pauli, Bayern’s Jamal Musiala was asked the upcoming Champions League match against Real Madrid. The Sky Sports reporter asked Musiala, “Will FC Bayern advance against Real Madrid on Wednesday?” Musiala replied with a simple, “Our mindset should always be positive. So yes, we will.
After taking care of business in the Bundesliga, Bayern’s focus moves to the pivotal Champions League match up on Wednesday in the Allianz Arena. Bayern leads 2-1 from the first leg and just needs a draw or better at home to move on to the Champions League semi-finals. Madrid drew at home on Friday against Girona. If you look at form, Bayern seems to have the upper hand and Musiala is rightly positive about the upcoming match, but as we all know, you can never take anything for granted against Real Madrid in this competition.
After playing just 21 minutes in Madrid, Musiala started and scored the first — and only first half — goal for Bayern in Hamburg on Saturday. He also added an assist in the second half to bring his goal contributions to four goals and three assists in all competitions since returning from injury in January.
