The Green Bay Packers are hosting Ohio State offensive lineman Ethan Onianwa on an official visit before the 2026 NFL draft, per Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Onianwa, who measures 6-6 and 333 pounds, ranks as the No. 343 overall player on the consensus big board. Dane Brugler of The Athletic ranks Onianwa as the 28th overall guard prospect in the class and a likely priority free agent following the draft. The Packers, who now have six picks on Day 3, could see Onianwa as a late Day 3 option, or as a free agent target if he goes undrafted.
A transfer from Rice, Onianwa appeared in 14 games but did not start for Ohio State after losing the battle at right tackle to Phillip Daniels in 2025. As a backup, Onianwa played 18 snaps at left guard, 69 at right guard and nine at right tackle. He made 25 starts at right tackle and nine at left tackle while at Rice.
During his final season at Rice in 2024, Onianwa allowed only one sack and nine total pressures while committing just a single penalty over 548 total snaps at left tackle.
From Brugler's draft guide: "Onianwa is a massive human, with long arms, thickness in his quads and a tall, broad frame. He is an average athlete and has mediocre foot quickness to mirror speed in space, but his body control and bend help him get the job done. He is more consistent in the run game, where he can lean on defenders and create movement with sheer force. NFL scouts speak highly of his intelligence, work habits and character. Overall, Onianwaâs inability to win a starting job on an average Ohio State offensive line is an obvious red flag, but his size and raw ability are worth bringing to camp and potentially adding to the practice squad."
At Ohio State's pro day, Onianwa ran the 40-yard dash in 5.21 seconds, hit 30" in the vertical leap, covered 8-4 in the broad jump and finished the short shuttle in 4.69 seconds and the 3-cone drill in 7.90 seconds. His Relative Athletic Score as a guard is 8.65, a testament to his movement ability despite his gigantic size.
