Ronaldo scores as Al-Nassr extend SPL lead to five points
Cristiano Ronaldo continued his sensational form on Saturday as he scored to help Al-Nassr beat Al-Okhdood 2-0 in the Saudi Pro League.
The win extended Al Nassrâs league winning run to a club-record 14 matches.
The result means the Knight of Najd have restored their five-point lead at the top with six games remaining.
Ronaldo struck with a low effort in the 15th minute after good work in the build-up by Kingsley Coman and Nawaf Boushal.
He has now scored 24 goals in 24 Pro League appearances this campaign.
His fellow Portugal international Joao Felix doubled their advantage after the break.
The 26-year-old fired home with a simple finish after Sadio Maneâs effort was parried into his path.
After a 14-game goal drought, Felix has now scored three times in his previous two outings.
Al-Okhdood failed to breach the visitorsâ defence, as Jorge Jesusâ men sealed a comfortable victory at the Prince Hathloul bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium.
Al-Nassr havenât won the Pro League title since 2019 and are without a major trophy since Ronaldoâs arrival in December 2022.
However, the Riyadh-based outfit are in a brilliant position to end their trophy drought this season, as they boast a commanding lead at the top.
Al-Nassr lost three consecutive games in January, but they have since maintained a perfect record in the Pro League.
