See which FSU player is projected to go in the third round of NFL draft

Welcome to mid-April, in other words, mock draft season.

Despite coming off a 5-7 season and what has now been two back-to-back losing records, Florida State is still developing NFL-caliber talent. In 2025, cornerback Azareye'h Thomas was selected 73rd overall by the New York Jets, and defensive tackle Joshua Farmer was picked up by the New England Patriots at 137.

Dane Brugler of The Athletic recently did a 2026 mock NFL draft, and perhaps unsurprisingly, a Florida State Seminole appeared on that list.

This year, Brugler predicts a Seminole to go at least within the third round, and that is Darrell Jackson Jr., who he predicts will land at No. 94 with the Miami Dolphins, courtesy of the Broncos.

With respect to the opportunity to play at FSU, Jackson took to Instagram to voice his gratitude: "Some of my best memories aren't even from the field. They're from the brotherhood, the laughs, the long nights of film study, the moments when we picked each other up during tough times. Those bonds don't fade. They become part of who you are forever."

Jackson spent three seasons with the Seminoles and made 25 starts. He recorded 80 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. He made the All-ACC Honorable Mention team after both seasons.

The 2026 NFL draft kicks off from Pittsburgh on April 23 at 8 p.m. ET.
