After the game, Ott spoke to reporters and said he and his team are focused on locking up the No. 8 seed.

These are hard to take, but there's stuff to learn in here that we got to learn fast and do everything we can to get ready for Friday night," Ott said.
The Suns suffered a tough loss at home at the hands of the Blazers and lost out on the No. 7 seed. Now, Phoenix will face the winner of the No. 9 and No. 10 game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors on Friday to clinch the No. 8 seed.
Ott opened up the presser speaking on the team's final possession.
âThe goal is to get Book the ball and get our spacing around him. He drove it. Jalenâs got help. He made the right play. Got a pretty good look. Holiday got a great contest,â Ott said.
The Suns scratched and clawed their way back in the game after being down by as many as 14 points. Phoenix even led in the final minutes of the contest. However, it was the three-point shooting that derailed them at the end, knocking down only 9-of-25. As for the Blazers, they made 17 of their 47 three-point attempts.
Phoenix will now turn their attention to securing the No. 8 seed in front of their home fans, which could set up a first-round matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Ott emphasized the importance of playing in front of their home crowd.
âMassive. I mean, I think thatâs the big key to getting the seven seed. You have two shots at this thing. On your home court,â Ott said.
