
At UFC 327, Josh Hokit earned a total of $200,000 in bonuses after winning Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night. The event was headlined by Carlos Ulberg, who claimed the vacant light heavyweight championship by knocking out Jiri Prochazka in the first round.
UFC CEO Dana White announced the UFC 327 bonus winners during the event's post-fight press conference on Saturday.
UFC 327 was headlined by a fight for the vacant light heavyweight championship between former titleholder Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg. Ulberg was crowned the new champion after knocking out Prochazka in the opening round. It was enough to take home an extra $100,000 bonus check.
Fight of the Night honors went to the main card heavyweight clash between Curtis Blaydes and Josh Hokit. Hokit entered the bout unranked but undefeated. He left with a contenders ranking.
Hokit hurt Blaydes early in the opening round, but Blaydes wasn't to be put away early or easily. He fought back hurting Hokit on several occasions. The bout was a back-and-forth instant classic. Hokit got the unanimous decision nod and earned two bonuses for his efforts. Not only did "The Incredible Hok" received Fight of the Night, but he also banked Performance of the Night one totally $200,000 in bonus money.
UFC 327 took place at Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. 17, 741 attended the event generating a $7 million gate.
