Carlos Ulberg delivered one of the wildest knockouts in recent memory last night (Sat., April 11, 2026) at UFC 327 LIVE on CBS/Paramount+ from inside Kaseya Center in Miami, Fla., stopping Jiri Prochazka in the first round to win the vacant UFC light heavyweight title. What made Ulbergâs performance even more impressive is the fact that he did all of it on one leg.
Saturdayâs main event had a lot to live up to considering UFC 327âs undercard delivered fireworks across the board. Ulberg had a little more momentum than Prochazka, but Prochazka had been in big title fights before. It was a great matchup on paper and one that had the chance to deliver Fight of the Year results. That is, of course, if everything went down without a hitch.
Unfortunately, this main event didnât start out the way it was planned. Both light heavyweights landed some solid shots over the first minute or so before Ulberg suffered a nasty knee injury while planting his leg. He buckled badly and Prochazka immediately took notice. A few leg kicks and awkward movements later and it was obvious that Ulberg was compromised.
Unfortunately for Prochazka, his warrior spirit prevented him from attacking Ulbergâs injured leg. Instead, Prochazka let his guard down and invited Ulberg into a fire fight. This gave Ulberg the window of opportunity he needed to unleash a perfectly-placed left hook that stung Prochazka and sent him crashing to the canvas. Ulberg rushed in for heavy ground-and-pound to put the finishing touches on his improbable win and walk away with UFC gold.
