Here is the second edition of the Greater Cincinnati high school softball power rankings of the 2026 season.
This list sees a shake up in the back half of the top 10 as teams continue to travel south for spring break, racking up multiple results in short duration.
All stats and records are updated through April 7. Upcoming schedules are subject to change due to weather.
Next in line: Milford, Ross, Bishop Brossart, Campbell County, Williamsburg, Lakota West
Analysis: Yes, the Jaguars have a tie on their record. It came in the second game of the season and was a four-inning affair. They have also won four games by one or two runs. The offense can break out at a moment's notice (see the 25 runs they scored against Ryle) and they are also allowing an average of 6.9 runs per game.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Timberland (South Carolina) at Pigeon Forge (April 9), vs. Toledo Central Catholic at Pigeon Forge (April 9), vs. Conner (April 13)
Analysis: The Cougars played just two games last week, beating Boone County in five innings before losing a high-scoring affair to Bracken County. The schedule ramps back up this weekend as they will play 12 games the rest of the month.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Notre Dame (April 9), at Holy Cross (April 10), at DuPont Manual (April 11), at Cooper (April 13)
Junior twins Abrie and Yorie Schulte have combined for seven runs batted in and nine runs scored for Lakota East.
Analysis: The Thunderhawks made a statement in a win over Oak Hills where Kaleigh Crawford recorded 14 strikeouts, then backed it up with a win over Mount Notre Dame in which six different players scored and seven different players drove in a run. Lakota East has a dangerous bat at every spot in the lineup.
Upcoming schedule: at Colerain (April 8), vs. Mason (April 10), at Talawanda (April 11), at Middletown (April 13), vs. Seton (April 14)
Analysis: Talawanda handed Beavercreek its first loss of the season before falling to Hamilton. Bella Cobb is emerging as a two-sport star after leading the girls basketball team in scoring and rebounding. She already has two home runs, seven RBIs and three stolen bases.
Upcoming schedule: at Ross (April 8), vs. Ross (April 10), vs. Lakota East (April 11), at Miamisburg (April 14)
Hamilton senior Emili Schappacher recently recorded her 500th career strikeout and 100th career hit.
Analysis: Hamilton has committed at least three errors in three games this season, but all three have been wins, thanks to the Big Blue's offensive prowess. Peyton Eversole leads the team with 10 runs batted in and two home runs, while Emili Schappacher isn't far behind with nine RBIs and three triples, including two game-winning hits. Just a few weeks into the season, Hamilton is a threat to win its first Greater Miami Conference title since 2005.
Upcoming schedule: at Lakota West (April 8), at Sycamore (April 10), vs. Princeton (April 13)
Analysis: Highlands has shown that it can play with the top teams in the state, losing to Assumption, Harrison and Boyd County by a total of four runs. After taking the day off during a loss to Oldham County, Kaitlyn Dixon will be back in the circle for games against Mercy and Greenup County.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Mercy in Fort Walton Beach (April 8), vs. Greenup County in Fort Walton Beach (April 10), at St. Henry (April 13), vs. Lawrenceburg (April 14)
Analysis: The beat rolls on for the Rams as they've allowed just 1.5 runs per game, thanks to a collective .958 fielding percentage. Freshman Lily Braun has pitched in five games, picking up five strikeouts with a 1.40 earned run average. A weekend set against Ansonia and Greenville will test Badin's undefeated record.
Upcoming schedule: double-header vs. McNicholas (April 10), at Ansonia (April 11), at Greenville (April 11), vs. Chaminade Julienne (April 13)
Analysis: The Broncos have scored at least 10 runs in five of their seven wins, the latest being a 16-7 win over New Richmond, where they scored nine runs in the seventh inning. Continuing a trend from last year, Western Brown is showing that it can win games in methodical fashion or with a big inning.
Upcoming schedule: vs. New Richmond (April 8), at Goshen (April 9), at Little Miami (April 11), at Ross (April 11), at Wilmington (April 13)
Emma Sheidler (20) leads Lebanon with a .571 average through seven games.
Analysis: In all three of their shutout wins so far, the Warriors have allowed three hits or less. The latest victory was powered by a no-hitter from Sophie Abrams. An upcoming game against Kings should provide an early preview into this season's Eastern Cincinnati Conference race.
Upcoming schedule: at Loveland (April 8), double-header at Winton Woods (April 10), vs. Kings (April 13)
Analysis: The Knights thrashed Centerville, last year's DI state runner-up, thanks to four RBIs from Julia Lowry and six total runs produced from Madi Titler. They opened up conference play with a win over Little Miami and have five nonconference games left.
Upcoming schedule: at West Clermont (April 8), vs. Loveland (April 10), vs. Williamsburg (April 12), at Lebanon (April 13)
