Steelers pick Kaden Wetjen in NFL draft: Highlights, stats
Steelers select Kaden Wetjen from Iowa in 2026 NFL Draft!
The Arizona Cardinals selected quarterback Carson Beck with the 65th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Beck, a former Georgia starter, transferred to Miami and led the team to the national championship game.
The Arizona Cardinals came away from Day 2 of the NFL draft with a quarterback. Using the 65th overall pick in the draft, the first pick of the third round, they selected quarterback Carson Beck out of Miami.
Beck was one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in the draft.
He is 6-5 and 233 pounds and has played a ton of football. He is 24 years old and
went 37-6 as a starter. He was a two-year starter at Georgia before transferring to Miami and playing there, leading them to the national championship game against Indiana.
Last season, he completed 72.4% of his passes for 3,813 yards, 30 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
He can make presnap reads and throws with anticipation. He is a high-floor player who should at least be able to stick around the NFL a long time as a backup, occasionally starting. And he could be a decent starter.
Because he is a third-round pick, even if things go badly in 2026, not enough was invested in him to make the Cardinals think that they can't get a quarterback in the first round in 2027.
