The Cleveland Browns selected wide receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston in the 2026 NFL Draft, enhancing their offensive versatility. Boston brings size while Concepcion adds speed, creating a dynamic duo for the team's future.
The Cleveland Browns entered the 2026 NFL Draft with a big need at one important position — wide receiver. To say they addressed that need would be an understatement after the team used its second first-round pick on WR KC Concepcion and followed that up by taking WR Denzel Boston in Round 2.
This could be the future at wide receiver in Cleveland and the Yahoo Sports crew talked about the Boston addition on the Yahoo NFL Draft live show.
Matt Harmon grouped some of the top WR prospects into buckets according to archetype and says Concepcion and Boston could not be more different when it comes to flavors of wideout. Boston has the size on the perimeter and Concepcion is the small, speedier separator. Harmon also sees them as interchangeable within this new Browns offense under head coach Todd Monken. Harmon has Zay Flowers as a common comparison for Concepcion in the NFL.

Boston, a 22-year-old out of Washington, was expected to be the next WR off the board to start the second round, though the 49ers ruined that by going with De’Zhaun Stribling out of Ole Miss with the 33rd pick. But the Browns were able to add two talented receivers to the mix with TE Harold Fannin Jr., and WRs Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman.
Jeudy can do a few things well when it comes to running routes but the addition of Boston and Concepcion, says Harmon, will give the rookies expanded roles on the Browns. The analyst sees the young duo as more reliable than Jeudy.
In his final two seasons with the Huskies, Boston posted at least 62 catches, 800 yards and nine TDs. Concepcion experienced two productive years at NC State before transferring to Texas A&M for his junior season. He posted 61 catches for 919 yards and nine TDs in 2025.
The Cleveland Browns drafted wide receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston.
KC Concepcion is a smaller, speedier receiver, while Denzel Boston is larger and plays on the perimeter.
The addition of Concepcion and Boston is expected to make the Browns' wide receiver room more versatile and interesting under head coach Todd Monken.

As for Concepcion, we got into him a little bit on Thursday night during the first round. One thing you do need to know is that Harmon describes Concepcion as “My Guy” among the WR prospects for 2026. The one thing that could hold the Texas A&M product back is drops — the uncertain QB situation in Cleveland also is cause for concern. Still, Concepcion has a lot of long-term potential as a fantasy football asset.
Entering the draft, Yahoo fantasy football analyst Justin Boone had Concepcion ranked sixth overall (WR4) among rookies for dynasty leagues. Boston was ninth overall, per Boone, and the WR6 among the class. Of course, these rankings will alter once we know where the entire rookie class is headed post-draft.
