Now, let’s see what the 29-32 picks are.
The selection and write-up were made by Thomas Moore:
The Kansas City Chiefs are in need of a cornerback after trading Trent McDuffie and allowing Jaylen Watson to leave in free agency, which is why they are double-dipping on defense with the second of their two first-round picks with the selection of Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell.
An athletic and fluid cornerback, Terrell is effective in press-man coverage and has good technique at all three levels of the field. He can play both on the inside and the outside, and while he is willing to get his nose dirty in run support, his size can sometimes be a problem in that regard.
The selection and write-up were made by Dawghouse57:
Pick No. 30 was added by the Dolphins from the Denver Broncos as Miami hopes to start a rebuild.
Earlier in the first round, they took one of the best wide receivers in the draft in WR Jordyn Tyson, and now they take the best defensive tackle. When you build a defense, it’s inside out and front to back. If the Dolphins can add a cornerback and offensive lineman to this draft class, then they are well on their way to building a contender.
The selection and write-up were made by fjblessi:
The New England Patriots were the surprise team of the 2025 season going from four wins to the Super Bowl. They signed/traded for a lot of veterans to generate that turnaround and now need to work to get young players to take their spots and stay competitive. While I would have loved to have messed with everyone and traded 31 for 39 and take a QB here, I can’t in all seriousness do that so without further ado, the New England Patriots with the 31st pick in the 2026 draft select Edge Cashius Howell from Texas A&M.
While Howell doesn’t have the ideal measurables he has a motor that never stops and was effective enough to be named unanimous All-American and SEC defensive player of the year. What sells Mike Vrabel and the Pats on Howell over Akheem Mesidor is that in addition to his pass rushing acumen he is very effective as a pass defender. That flexibility will appeal to Vrabel as he can fill two needs (coverage LB and edge rusher) with one player allowing the defense to disguise looks and be more effective. He does lack the size and length to be an ideal run stopper, but his coverage skills and ability as a pass rusher more than compensate for this deficiency.
The selection and write-up were made by Chris Pokorny:
The Seattle Seahawks are coming off the high of a Super Bowl victory, but they also saw their Super Bowl MVP, running back Kenneth Walker, depart in free agency.
Seattle does not have a surplus of draft picks this year, and didn’t address the running back position in free agency. The plan seems to be clear that they can have their choice of the second running back taken in the draft, which they do so here with Jadarian Price of Notre Dame. Price would have a chance to be a starter from the get-go in Seattle, considering how good they are at all other positions to compete for a Super Bowl again.
Up next will be the Browns’ second- and third-round picks at No. 39 and No. 70 in the 2026 DBN Community Mock Draft.
