Just weeks after releasing his four finalists, 2027 four-star offensive tackle Cameron Wagner has also released his commitment date. Per On3's Hayes Fawcett, Wagner will announce his commitment live on the Pat McAfee Show on Monday, May 11.
The Oregon Ducks are among the four finalists, joined by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Wisconsin Badgers and his home-state Illinois Fighting Illini. He has official visits set for each program, beginning with Wisconsin (May 29), Illinois (June 5), Oregon (June 12) and Notre Dame (June 19). It remains to be seen if he'll still take those visits once committing to a program.
Wagner is a talented recruit standing 6-foot-7 and 295 pounds, ranking as the No. 36 offensive tackle and No. 345 player nationally in the 2027 class, per 247 Sports Composite. He's the 13th-ranked prospect in the state of Illinois, and has commanded strong interest from the Fighting Illini.
While it's still the early stages of the 2027 recruiting class, the Ducks have built out a strong group headlined by nine four-stars and three three-stars. The class ranks No. 8 in the nation, having surged in recent weeks with several additions.
If Wagner does decide to commit to Oregon, he would further raise their ranking while joining three-star offensive tackle Avery Michael and four-star interior offensive lineman Gus Corsair in the offensive trenches.
