The Atlanta Falcons may consider drafting a quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft despite having three on their roster. They have five picks, with their first selection at pick No. 48 overall on Day 2.
The Atlanta Falcons currently have three quarterbacks on their roster, but since they still have long-term question marks at the position, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a flyer on a QB somewhere in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Now that the draft is just over a week away, we thought it would be a good time to round up some potential targets for the Falcons at each position. Atlanta only has five picks, and the team's first selection isn't until Day 2 (pick No. 48 overall).
Obviously, the Falcons aren't looking for somebody to play this season, and we'd be shocked if they used a Day 2 pick on a quarterback. With that said, let's check out four potential QB targets for Atlanta in the 2026 NFL Draft.
1). QB Haynes King, Georgia Tech
The Falcons recently hosted Haynes King on a pre-draft visit. The Georgia Tech standout is considered a Day 3 prospect but has nice tools as a 6-foot-3, dual-threat QB. Last season, he passed for 2,951 yards, 14 touchdowns and six interceptions, adding another 953 yards and 15 scores on the ground. As NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein wrote in his scouting report, "[King] is a grit-and-guts passer with subpar footwork and mechanics, but he finds ways to make plays when needed."
2). QB Jalon Daniels, Kansas
The Jayhawks quarterback is an intriguing late-round prospect due his dual-threat ability. While Daniels is on the short side, his passing ability has improved drastically over the past year. In 2025, he passed for 2,531 yards, 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions, rushing for another 404 yards and four touchdowns. Daniels is ranked as the 240th prospect on PFF's 2026 big board. As a Day 3 selection, Daniels has enough upside to warrant a pick in the sixth or seventh round. "He has a decent arm but lacks consistent mechanics, timing and three-level ball placement," wrote Zierlein.
3). QB Carson Beck, Miami
Beck is not someone I'd expect the Falcons to target unless he falls to them in Rounds 6-7. The former Georgia standout was once considered a first-round lock, and despite his perceived arm issues, he still passed for a career-high 3,813 yards, 30 touchdowns and 12 interceptions for the Miami Hurricanes last season. Beck, 24, has more experience than many of the quarterbacks in this year's draft.
4). QB Cade Klubnik, Clemson
Klubnik has decent physical tools and production, but he undoubtedly regressed last season. After passing for an eye-popping 36 touchdowns and rushing for seven more on the ground (43 total touchdowns) in 2024, the Clemson standout passed for just 16 touchdowns last season and wasn't a factor in the ground game. Obviously, the upside is there, but his stock is not as high as it was one year ago. Nonetheless, Klubnik is a talented prospect who would be best served to sit and learn for a few years. The former Tigers QB could be an option for Atlanta on Day 3 of the draft.
The 2026 NFL Draft is just around the corner. Day 1 kicks off on April 23 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
