The Los Angeles Rams may consider trading up from the 13th pick in the NFL draft, despite general manager Les Snead's comments suggesting otherwise. Four potential trade scenarios have been outlined, particularly focusing on opportunities with teams like the Titans.
Part of what makes the NFL draft so exciting is the trades that take place on draft night. The Los Angeles Rams are frequent movers throughout the draft, whether they're going up to grab a prospect they covet or moving down to collect additional picks.
General manager Les Snead already said it's unlikely the Rams will trade up from No. 13 in the first round, but anything said before the draft could be seen as a smoke screen. Even if Snead is being truthful about not trading up, plans change depending on how the board falls.
In the event that the Rams want to trade up from the 13th overall pick, there will likely be suitors looking to trade down out of the top 10. Here are four potential scenarios based on the Rich Hill trade value chart.
Trade with Titans for No. 4
Rams trade: No. 13 + 2027 first-round pick
Titans trade: No. 4
The Titans have plenty of draft capital, but for a team still rebuilding, the more the merrier. In this scenario, the Rams don't have a 2026 pick valuable enough to bridge the points gap between No. 4 (491) and No. 13 (336). Even the Rams' second- and third-round picks combined (128 points) wouldn't be enough.
Instead, the Rams would likely have to give up a future first to make this deal happen. It's unlikely, but if Los Angeles is infatuated with someone like Jeremiyah Love, might it make a move?
Trade with Browns for No. 6
Rams trade: Nos. 13 + 61 + 93 (464 points)
Browns trade: Nos. 6 + 146 (459 points)
The Browns are another team in rebuild mode and trading back would make a lot of sense, especially with no quarterback worth taking at No. 6. For the Rams to move up seven spots, they would likely have to surrender their second- and third-rounders, while getting back a fifth-rounder.
It would be a massive move for Los Angeles to make, but nothing can ever be ruled out with Snead.
Trade with Commanders for No. 7
Rams trade: Nos. 13 + 61 (422 points)
Commanders trade: No. 7 (426 points)
Washington only has six total picks in the draft, so trading down is logical. The Commanders could add an extra second-rounder by trading down just six spots, still having the chance to add a blue-chip prospect at No. 13.
If the Rams were to move up to this spot, Love or Carnell Tate could be viable targets. Sonny Styles, should he be on the board at No. 7, would be an excellent prospect for the Rams, too. The cost would be much less than even going up to No. 6, making it more feasible for Los Angeles.
Trade with Bengals for No. 10
Rams trade: Nos. 13 + 93 (378 points)
Bengals trade: Nos. 10 + 189 (376 points)
If the Rams are worried about the Dolphins taking one of their receiver or cornerback targets at No. 11, or the Cowboys swiping a corner at No. 12, moving up to No. 10 could make sense. Again, a player like Tate could be a logical target, as could Jordyn Tyson or Mansoor Delane. Perhaps the Rams even like Caleb Downs enough to trade up for him, or an edge rusher like Rueben Bain or David Bailey if they were to fall.
