5 Eagles that could be included in a draft-night trade

The NFL draft is fast approaching, and the three-day weekend offers teams around the league a smorgasbord of trade opportunities in an effort to improve their rosters. According to Over The Cap, the Philadelphia Eagles have 24 players who'll be free agents in 2027 or entering the final year of their contracts in 2026, creating key decisions for the front office as the team plans for the future. The Eagles could buy time by exercising the 5th year options for Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith, while six of their 24 unrestricted free agents signed one-year deals in 2026.

Of the 24 Free agents, six are homegrown talents entering the final year of their contract, while Riq Woolen is a one-year signing that could explode into a massive deal or lead to a high compensatory pick because Philadelphia still needs to sign Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean in 2027.

Philadelphia has nine 2026 NFL draft picks, and with the draft approaching, the Eagles have multiple players who could be included in potential trades. Here's a look at five names to watch as Philadelphia explores roster upgrades.

Kelee Ringo CB

Ringo played 312 defensive snaps and had a 49.2 grade in coverage, 104 out of 114 NFL cornerbacks. He'll enter the final year of his contract, likely looking to impress other teams.

Moro Ojomo IDL

Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis are the big names, but Ojomo could be the best pass rusher in the trio, and he's just as important to the Eagles' future success. Looking to put himself in the best position to secure a new deal, Ojomo has switched representation as the new league year approaches, joining the powerful Athletes' First. Ojomo's 71.0 PFF grade was the 80th best in the NFL last season, but he's much improved, and Ojomo saw his snap count increase to 60 percent in his third year. He started nine games for the Eagles this season and played in all 17, finishing second on the team in sacks.

Ojomo will enter the final year of his deal with a $3,624,446 cap hit.

Tanner McKee QB

McKee enters the final year of his deal, and the Eagles could look to get compensation before he walks in Free agency. The talented quarterback saw full-game action just once last season. McKee started in Week 18 against the Washington Commanders with the opportunity to help Philadelphia move into the No. 2 seed with a Bears loss to the Packers. McKee was 21-40 passing, one touchdown, one interception, and a 68.9 rating, a far cry from his 2024 debut.

Tyler Steen RT

There's been talk of the Eagles potentially replacing Steen at offensive guard, but the former Vanderbilt and Alabama offensive tackle is the least of the worries in Philadelphia. A third-round pick who finally earned the starting spot, Steen was the seventh-highest graded Eagles offensive player; his 71.6 overall PFF grade was 17th in the NFL, and his 74.0 is 11th best in the league. Steen is entering the final year of his rookie deal and has a $3.9M cap hit.

OLB Nolan Smith

A first-round pick who's eligible for an extension but should be focused on his 5th-year option, Smith had 20 tackles, two sacks, and 33 pressures in 452 snaps after missing seven games. The 5th-year option, as it currently stands, is $14 million for 2027.
