The Denver Broncos are projected to have about $18.78 million in salary cap space for 2027, ranking them among the lowest in the NFL. They currently sit third in the AFC West, trailing the Chargers and Raiders.
Going into the 2026 NFL draft this week, the Denver Broncos have about $18.78 million in remaining salary cap space, according to an estimate from OverTheCap.com.
That number ranks 19th in the NFL and third in the AFC West, trailing the Los Angeles Chargers ($48.67 million) and Las Vegas Raiders ($23.24 million). Elsewhere in the division, the Kansas City Chiefs ($6.71 million) have the seventh-lowest cap cushion in the league ahead of the draft.
The Broncos have given in-house extensions to a host of players over the last two years, and new arrival Jaylen Waddle will see his cap number spike in 2027. Next year, Denver's estimated to have the fifth-least cap space in the NFL ($18 million) before free agency even begins. That's worse than KC ($28 million), Las Vegas ($108 million) and L.A. ($119 million).

Denver, of course, could create more cap room with restructures and releases. As things stand now, though, the Broncos appear to be going all-in on their current Super Bowl window without much room for free agent splashes in 2027.
