The Denver Broncos' 2026 schedule reveals a challenging start with tough opponents in the first six games. They will have a late-season bye week, providing a chance to regroup for a playoff push.
The Denver Broncos' 2026 schedule has finally arrived, and we now know exactly when and where Denver will face each of their opponents after months of speculation. Here are five quick takeaways from the 2026 slate of games.
1. The first six games are brutal: The Broncos will go through the gauntlet in the first six weeks of the season with the Chiefs (MNF on the road), Jaguars (home), Rams (SNF at home), 49ers (road), Chargers (road) and Seahawks (SNF at home) presenting massive tests to begin the year. Denver fans might be happy to merely escape that stretch with a .500 record.
2. Denver has a late-season bye: Fortunately, there are two games that the Broncos will be expected to win after that tough start (plus a home game against KC), then a bye week for Denver. That should provide a good opportunity for the Broncos to reset and prep for a potential late-season push to finish strong and secure a playoff spot.

The Broncos have a late-season bye week after a series of challenging games, allowing them to reset for the remainder of the season.
In 2026, the Broncos will not face the Chiefs in December for the first time since 2023, with both matchups occurring before their bye week.

3. Chiefs games are in the first half of season: This season marks the first time since 2023 that the Broncos do not have a December matchup against KC, with both of their Chiefs showdowns coming before the bye week. Not having to travel to Arrowhead late in the year has to be viewed as a positive for Denver.
4. Broncos have two holiday games: Denver will travel to the East Coast to face the Steelers on Black Friday (Nov. 27) and later host the Bills on Christmas Day (Dec. 25). Technically, those aren't prime-time games, but they are standalone windows that will be available to stream on Prime and Netflix, respectively.
5. Officially, Denver has three initially-scheduled prime-time games: After starting on the road against the Chiefs on MNF, the Broncos will host the Rams on SNF in Week 3 and the Seahawks on TNF in Week 6. Right now, the Week 17 road trip to face the Patriots is a TBD game, and it wouldn't be surprising to see that matchup flexed to a prime-time window if both teams are in playoff contention late in the season.
Up next on the Broncos' offseason schedule are organized team activities (OTAs), set to begin in early June. The club will then hold a mandatory minicamp in mid-July before a summer break leading up to training camp, which is expected to begin in late July. After that, preseason will kick off in August.
