High school sports are heating up as the spring postseason approaches.
Both Freedom Christian's baseball and softball teams clinched the NCISAA Sandhills Athletic Conference regular season championships.
Terry Sanford baseball earned its 13th of its last 14 conference titles in the new Tri-County Conference, while Gray's Creek grabbed a share of the league title along with Purnell Swett.
After several conference schedules concluded, here are 20 nominees to choose from in the April 20-24, 910Preps Athlete of the Week poll.

John Bishop, Terry Sanford boys' lacrosse — Bishop earned five goals and two assists in the Bulldogs' win over Panther Creek.
Kayleigh Brewington, Cape Fear softball — Brewington hit four RBIs and scored three runs in a win over Terry Sanford.
Christian Burnette, Gray's Creek track & field — Burnette placed first in the boys' shot put throw with a 44-7.
Delaney Daniel, Gray's Creek track & field — Daniel finished in first place in the boys' 300-meter hurdles with a 42.55 time.
Kaydyn Deutscher, Gray's Creek girls' soccer — Deutscher, the junior, scored a hat trick in a 5-0 win over Lumberton.
Keyilah Hill, Gray's Creek track & field — Hill finished in first place in the girls' 300-meter hurdles with a 51.80.
August Kebort, Gray's Creek softball — Kebort secured four hits for a cycle and eight RBIs, including vs. Terry Sanford.
Xander Morgan, Fayetteville Christian baseball — Morgan hit for the cycle in a win over Berean Baptist, and went 7-10 with a .700 batting average in games throughout the week.
Andrew Nolette, Village Christian baseball — Nolette, the freshman pitcher, threw 13 strikeouts vs. Berean Baptist.
Madisyn Norton, Jack Britt girls' soccer — Norton, the Buccaneers ace pitched 10 strikeouts in the win over Pine Forest.
Freedom Christian's baseball and softball teams won the NCISAA Sandhills Athletic Conference championships.
