In 2024, when the Aces rebranded from gold and red colors to a platinum silver, to go hand-in-hand with owner Mark Davis' NFL team, the Las Vegas Raiders, Wilson wanted to spice things up with a matching hair color. This created her tradition of differentiating her looks for media days. Prior to 2026, here is a year-by-year look at Wilson's hair colors.
Let's take a look at all of Wilson's dyed looks she attended past media days with.
Wilson first changed her hair color ahead of the 2024 season. When the Aces rebranded from their original gold and red colors to a platinum silver accent, Wilson desired a change. She began the season with silver hair that matched her team's new color, and the color became prolific around the basketball world.
The following season, Wilson shook things up again with a bright pink color. No, the Aces did not rebrand again. This time, the WNBA star was promoting her first signature sneaker, the Nike A'One.
The bright pink sneaker matched Wilson's hair, which sought to encapsulate the "pink, power and presence" theme coated into her new shoe.
Here are the pink A'Ones that Wilson was promoting:
Last season, Wilson kept the tradition alive for a third year in a row, this time rocking a scarlet red hair color. According to her, the look was inspired by X-Men character Jean Grey.
So, why Jean Grey?
"We kind of went with the Jean Grey type of vibe with X-Men," said Wilson. "She is a superhero that is pretty, pretty powerful."
The look is fitting for the Aces' star, as she is quite powerful on the court for her team. She has consistently led her team to eight-straight top two records in the WNBA, along with three championships and four MVP awards.
Wilson's changes of appearance have come due to a variety of reasons. In 2024, during her first change with silver hair, Wilson attributed the new look to the team's rebrand that featured a silver color in their uniforms.
"When I found out the Aces — obviously we lost the red a little bit, we went back to silver and black — I was like, 'Why not do platinum silver hair?'" Wilson said in an interview with FOX5 Las Vegas reporter Paloma Villicana.
"That's what it's all about — rebranding. So, we're here now with silver hair. I don't know how long she will stay, but I'm definitely having just a little fun with it."
The following year, Wilson rocked a bright pink hair color to promote her new Nike A'One shoes. Along with the promotion, the multi-year champion and MVP revealed pink was actually her favorite color.
"My Nike team has done a great job of making sure that my vision comes to life in my shoe,” Wilson said. “I'm so glad that people are loving on the pink, because my pink is my favorite color."
Finally, ahead of this year's media day, Wilson donned an all-new red look. The star said changing her look adds a new element to each season.
"Just something about just changing my hair a little bit for media day, I think it brings me a little bit of joy that the season's beginning."
Wilson will begin 2026 sporting a look that is right out of an X-Men comic book. The Aces' star cited superhero Jean Grey as the inspiration for her scarlet accent.
"We kind of went with the Jean Grey type of vibe with X-Men," Wilson said. "She is a superhero that is pretty, pretty powerful."
