Aaron Rodgers arrives in Pittsburgh, but there’s a catch for the Steelers

The NFL landscape received an important update on the confusing situation between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers, but it remains to be seen if this new report is positive, particularly regarding a potential meeting between the two sides.

While the Rodgers meeting rumors were dismissed, Steelers insider Gerry Dulac reported that the 42-year-old quarterback was actually in Pittsburgh, but that he's “stayed away from the team’s South Side facility while the three-day rookie minicamp has been going on.” The Steelers have not met with Rodgers yet but have been in talks with his agent.

Rodgers, who signed with the Steelers on a one-year deal in June 2025, went on to have a solid debut season with Pittsburgh, throwing for 3,322 yards and 24 touchdowns in 16 games.

It's promising that Rodgers is in Pittsburgh after several reports disputed a potential meeting with the Steelers, though there's little information on whether a contract will be signed anytime soon.
