The Pittsburgh Steelers found themselves in a similar spot last offseason.
It's now the second year in a row that the Steelers have essentially gotten backed into a quarterback corner where the only real hope is that Aaron Rodgers wants to be their starting QB.
A year ago, Rodgers was a free agent from the Jets who originally had multiple suitors until the market whittled down to just Pittsburgh.
Now, Rodgers has completed a playoff season with the Steelers, and the consideration isn't so much different teams as it is potential retirement.

The Steelers haven't signed anyone in free agency or made any trades. The NFL Draft is still coming, but for now, their QB room consists of Will Howard and Mason Rudolph.
The latest intel from ESPN's Brooke Pryor suggests that Rodgers likely will still join them at some point.

Last offseason, the Steelers were in a similar position, hoping to secure Rodgers as their starting quarterback when he was a free agent from the Jets.
