The Alabama Crimson Tide will play in one of college basketball's headline tournaments during the 2026-27 season.
Announced on Thursday, Alabama is among the 24 teams set to play in the 2026 Players Era Men's Championships, which is set to take place this upcoming season. Held once again in Las Vegas, the event will broadcast on ESPN, as well as feature two tournaments.
Alabama will play in the Players Era Sixteen, taking place over a five-day span during Thanksgiving week. Joining the Crimson Tide in the tournament will be Baylor, Creighton, Gonzaga, Iowa State, Kansas State, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Oregon, San Diego State, St. John's, TCU, Tennessee, and Texas Tech.
Entering its' third season, Alabama has participated in the Players Era each of the last two years where the Crimson Tide sport a combined 4-2 record in the event. Alabama's wins at the Players Era have come over Oregon, Rutgers, UNLV, and Maryland, while the losses came against Oregon and Gonzaga, the former of which was in the 2024 title game.
