Formula 1, known as the pinnacle of motorsports, includes 24 races in the 2026 calendar. However, this year two races â the Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Grand Prix â were canceled earlier this season due to safety concerns in response to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
After Miami, 18 races will remain in the 2026 Formula 1 season. The bulk of the racing calendar will feature spots in Europe and Asia, with two left in the United States: the Circuit of the Americas (COTA)Â in Austin, Texas and the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
While the race is a one-night event, there are also three practice rounds held across two days and one qualifying round that takes place the night before the main race. A shorter, sprint race is also part of the weekend, with no mandatory pit stops and offering points to the top eight finishers.
