UFC Winnipeg is ready to go.
This Saturday, the UFC returns to Manitoba for UFC Winnipeg, taking place at the Canada Life Centre, where Canada’s own, Mike Malott, tries to climb the rankings by taking on former welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns in the main event. On Friday, both main event fighters weighed in, making use of the one-pound allowance, and coming in at 171 pounds.

Malott was forced to use the privacy screen to make the weight, but appeared in good spirits, saying he simply had an issue with his scale (h/t Nick Baldwin).
“I’m not hurting. My scale was a bit wonky, and I was a bit heavier than expected.”
The co-main event also went forward without a hitch as both Kyler Phillips and Charles Jourdain made weight, with Phillips coming in at championship weight, while Jourdain made use of the one-pound allowance, coming in at 136 pounds.
