Andrej Stojakovic will return for his senior year with Illinois men's basketball after a successful run to the 2026 Final Four. He averaged over 13 points per game last season and excelled in a bench role after recovering from injury.
Illinois men's basketball had a magical run to the 2026 Final Four, driven by players who seemed extremely well-connected. The Fighting Illini will retain most of that continuity heading into next season, as the Peoria Journal Star reports talented swingman Andrej Stojakovic will return to the program for his senior year.
Basketball fans know that while Stojakovic doesn't necessarily bring the same deadly shooting touch as his father, Peja, he is an aggressive driver and excellent finisher at the rim. Andrej Stojakovic averaged just over 13 points per game last year for Illinois.
Stojakovic also proved to be flexible and effective, as he accepted and thrived in a bench role after returning from injury later in the calendar.
The offensive weapon started his career with Stanford, before transferring to Cal, before eventually landing at Illinois.
