Sports Illustrated's Kevin Sweeney wrote on X that Allen said he would "need a first-round promise to stay in this year's draft."
Isaac Trotter of CBS Sports reported Allen said, "If it was second round, I would go back to school. I definitely feel I can go back to college and be a 20 and 10 guy."

ESPN currently lists Allen as pick No. 32 in its updating big board, which would make the Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin native a second-round pick.
Allen said Alabama has told him he would "have the ball in his hands a lot" with additional reps as a point guard and ball-screen playmaker.
Labaron Philon Jr.'s draft decision appears clear. A return for Aden Holloway isn't guaranteed as he and the Crimson Tide wait out the trial for his marijuana arrest. Although Alabama's incoming class of student-athletes ranks No. 13 overall, none are guards.
As a rookie, Allen averaged 11.4 points and 3.1 assists per game while leading the Crimson Tide's rebounding efforts with an average 6.9 boards through 32 contests and 24 starts.
A comeback for Allen may come with the keys to Alabama's offense, and his decision has to be made by the NBA draft withdrawal deadline of 10:59 p.m. CT on May 27.
