BALTIMORE - For the first time this season, Anthony Volpe is in the Yankees' lineup.
Called up Tuesday from Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the 25-year-old shortstop is batting eighth at Camden Yards in the finale of a three-game set.
Going for a series victory, the Yanks will send Max Fried (4-2, 2.91 ERA) against right-hander Kyle Bradish (1-5, 4.83 ERA).
Fried is coming off a rough start last Friday at Milwaukee, when he gave up five runs in six innings, with three walks in a 6-0 loss to the Brewers.
