Chelsea and England defender Bright announces retirement
Chelsea captain Millie Bright to retire from football after this season.
The Arizona Cardinals rank last in the new NFL post-draft power rankings at No. 32. Despite adding talent like running back Jeremiyah Love, their overall position remains unchanged.
With the conclusion of the NFL draft and the infusion of talent to the 32 NFL teams, we can revisit where we thenk each team sits comparatively to the rest of the league. While the Arizona Cardinals added some talented players such as running back Jeremiyah Love, are they really any better than before?
In new post-draft power rankings from NFL.com, they are not.
They remain dead last at No. 32.
The Cardinals made a call on Jeremiyah Love at No. 3, and I respect the player and the opportunity. I also am not one of these guys who will harp on the "diminished value" of running backs, because I believe the position is more important now than it was a few years ago, with the run game cycling back into the league again. From a market-efficiency standpoint, though, it's not the smartest move, even without a high-priced QB on the roster, and I just worry that Love's rookie year could end up looking like what we just saw with Ashton Jeanty in Vegas. My hope is that Mike LaFleur can start to mold an identity with this offense, pump some life into Marvin Harrison Jr. and upgrade the QB play. Love can help with that process, and maybe Carson Beck is a surprise option at quarterback, but it's hard to be overly optimistic for any quick fixes right now.
Love is a great player. How much better does he improve a running back room that was all right already? Is the defense better? Not really. Are they better at any position? Arguably not.
The Cardinals are still the favorites to win the fewest games in 2026. They appear set to run it back with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. He was 1-11 as a starter and lost his last nine games.
While Love will bring some excitement, he's not likely adding wins.
