Arne Slot has identified a suitable attacker for Liverpool following the sale of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich for over ÂŁ60 million. Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike have been brought in as replacements, with Florian Wirtz also expected to contribute.
Arne Slot has found the perfect attacker for Liverpool
Liverpool sold Luis Diaz in the summer with many fans thinking that they'd robbed Bayern Munich blind.
The Colombian was 28 years old when the Reds sold him to Bayern so the fact that they got over ÂŁ60 million for him was impressive.
To replace the former Porto man, Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike were brought in with Florian Wirtz also expected to help out on occasion.
However, since none of them are natural left-wingers, the brunt of the action on the left has been placed upon the shoulders of Cody Gakpo.
And, while he may be an impressive player, every defender he comes up against knows that he's going to do anything in his power to get onto his right foot to have a shot on goal.
But, since it's so predictable, he's not been effective enough this term, especially with how solid most defensive lines are.
So, it's hardly surprising to see several left wingers now appearing on the Reds' radar with Arne Slot now finding the perfect player for Liverpool to sign this summer.

If Liverpool don't sign another left-wing this summer, some serious questions will need to be asked.
Rio Ngumoha has risen to the occasion more than once this term but, since he's only 17 years old he can't be expected to start each week.
So, this is where Rafael Leao comes in.
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are now interested in signing Rafael Leao.
"AC Milan star Rafael Leao is attracting interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Real Madrid as they explore a potential summer move for the Portugal international," they wrote.
"Milan are understood to be open to offers for a number of their top players as they look to balance the books and work within financial guidelines. And Leao could depart for around ÂŁ60million.
"That's viewed as excellent value by many elite clubs for a 26-year-old of Leao's calibre in the current market."
