Garland began his career at Drake, where he was teammates with returning guard Kevin Overton. After that solo year, he transferred to Longwood, where he started in his sophomore season, and he would land at San Jose State in his junior season.
Auburn will meet with him virtually this week as head coach Steven Pearl navigates his first offseason leading the Tigers. So far for the Tigers, two players have announced their return: Overton and freshman guard Simon Walker.
