The Birmingham 2026 European Athletics Championships has revealed Bab the Bull as its mascot for the games, with 100 days to go.
The organisers said the bull represents "determination, strength, and tenacity".
Jim Gilbert, the head of creative at Birmingham 2026, said the bull was a powerful symbol of the city and had been linked to it since the 16th Century.
The championships take place between 10 and 16 August.
Iwan Thomas, European, Commonwealth and World Championships medallist, said: "Don't let the friendly face fool you â Bab's got a mischievous streak."
Bab is due to join Thomas as an official starter for the Great Birmingham Run 10k on Sunday.
