Well, on Thursday, he committed to the Wisconsin Badgers, who offered the defensive lineman on March 6th. Zaccagnino, ranked a three-star recruit by 247Sports, had quickly garnered interest this spring, setting up official visits to Wisconsin, Syracuse, UConn, Missouri, and Michigan State before committing to the Badgers. He made a visit to Wisconsin earlier this month before his commitment, and is the first interior defensive lineman in the class for the Badgers. At 6’5, 270 pounds, he’s got a good chance to grow well into his frame. It’s another good evaluation for the Badgers, who were well ahead of the curve in Zaccagnino’s recruitment, being his third offer and jumping a ton of schools that got into the mix shortly after. It was a good bounce back after Wisconsin missed on a few defensive line prospects they were targeting, and the start of what the Badgers are looking for on the interior in the class. Wisconsin will be losing three seniors next year, with Hammond Russell IV, , and out of eligibility. Remember, in the 2025 cycle, Wisconsin got a projectable defensive lineman with Djidjou Bah and a bigger interior guy with Arthur Scott.
