Sunday night was a special occasion for FC Barcelona as they won the La Liga title, doing so by beating their bitter rivals Real Madrid at the Spotify Camp Nou in a memorable fashion.
Needing only one point from the game to secure the title, the Blaugrana beat Alvaro Arbeloa & co. 2-0 thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres, to lift the fifth trophy of the Hansi Flick era.
Not only on the pitch, but Barcelona also enjoyed a successful night off the field as well.
Indeed, according to AS, the Catalans also set a new revenue record for a Clasico: €16.4 million.
The final figure has not yet been completely confirmed, although any last-minute adjustment is expected to increase the total rather than reduce it.
Speaking before the match, Barcelona CEO Manel del Rio had said: “It’s important to understand that 80% of the total capacity was for season ticket holders or members with individual tickets.
“But with that percentage and seeing the demand, we’ve achieved a record revenue compared to last year: €13.8 million. We’ll be above €16 million.”

“This is important news for the project. We’re shifting the business towards the VIP product, but members will have priority,” he added.
