Barcelona expect to cash in on several academy players in the summer

FC Barcelona are already planning for next season, not only at the first-team level, but also across their youth and reserve team setups as the current campaign draws to a close.

In fact, according to SPORT, the coming months are expected to bring significant changes at La Masia, both in scouting and in the movement of players and coaches.

The Catalans believe certain age groups need strengthening to become more competitive and to ensure higher-level players can reach the reserve team.

Looking specifically at Barça Atletic, a major overhaul is expected – regardless of whether promotion to the RFEF Primera Division is achieved, the report claims.

According to the outlet, a number of players such as Alvaro Cortes, Brian Farinas, Jofre Torrents, Victor Barbera, David Oduro, Alexis Olmedo and Aziz Issah are very likely to leave the Barça reserve team. Their cycle has come to an end.

At the club offices at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, the club hopes to generate income from several players who have strong market interest.

It is worth noting that money was already brought in during the winter window with Mamadou Mbacke’s exit, while Andres Cuenca is currently on loan at Sporting Gijon, with an agreement for a transfer in place with Como.
