FC Barcelona have still not presented any formal offer to Robert Lewandowski over a contract renewal, according to journalist Nil Sola of Cadena SER.
The 37-year-old veteran striker’s current contract expires on 30 June and his future, at this point, is far from certain.
There has been talk about the Blaugrana offering him a one-year renewal with a much lower salary and a secondary role in the squad.
But, even though meetings have taken place between the two parties in recent hours, Lewandowski has not yet received either a written proposal or any concrete financial offer from the club regarding an extension for next season.
Barcelona are still avoiding discussing figures or economic conditions for a possible renewal, which leaves the striker unable to properly compare staying at the club with other offers currently on the table, including a lucrative proposal from Chicago Fire FC in MLS.

As reported earlier in the week, the MLS outfit is offering the Poland captain a lucrative contract worth €15 million plus another €5 million in add-ons.
Meanwhile, he also has suitors in Italy in the form of AC Milan and Juventus, although both clubs are having doubts over a move.
Then, there is the continued presence of clubs in Saudi Arabia, where Lewandowski remains a coveted target.
For now, Lewandowski is waiting for movement from the Barça hierarchy before making a definitive decision about his future.
However, if the Catalans continue to hold off on presenting a formal offer to the 37-year-old, he may be forced to choose from one of the options already on the table.
