As per the report, Barcelona believe that the left-back position is covered by Alejandro Balde and are also keen to retain Joao Cancelo, who is on loan from Al-Hilal.

Cancelo has established himself as the preferred option in the starting line-up, even playing on the left despite being naturally right-footed. Flick initially deployed him there during Balde’s injury, and his attacking contribution has secured his place.
Despite rumours of a potential sale, Barcelona continue to view Balde as a key long-term asset. At 22, with a long contract, the club does not see the need to pursue another left-back.
However, questions remain over how the Spaniard will respond to his current role as a substitute, particularly behind a player not a natural in that position. A strong offer could also test his situation.
Balde remains highly regarded in the Premier League, with several clubs monitoring him. Interest has previously come from Manchester United, Manchester City and Aston Villa, while Chelsea have also tracked him in the past.
For now, however, no sale is being considered, and no new signing is also being planned.
