Barcelona register interest in Chelsea superstar this summer

Barcelona are gearing up for a summer of change, in which the club are expected to address many key areas in the squad and some potential overhauls in key positions.

One of the positions in focus is the left-back area, where Barcelona are reportedly open to the sale of Alejandro Balde, provided they receive a lucrative offer this summer.

The Catalans value the Spaniard at around €50 million, as they look to bring in fresh revenue to the coffers. Balde’s potential exit does, however, mean that there could be a large gaping hole in the left-back position.

Barcelona interested in Marc Cucurella

According to El Chiringuito, it appears Barcelona are interested in the services of Marc Cucurella heading into the summer transfer window.

A product of the La Masia youth academy, Cucurella currently plies his trade with Chelsea. Since joining the club in 2022, he has enjoyed success to a varying degree.

The 27-year-old is rated highly due to his work-ethic on the flanks, which is coupled with his experience at the highest level of football. As former member of the academy, he is also adept to the Barcelona system.
