The future of Robert Lewandowski at Barcelona is looking increasingly uncertain as we approach the final phase of the campaign.
The Pole’s contract expires at the end of the season but Barcelona have tabled a one-year contract extension even though the player will turn 38 by the start of next season.
However, the new contract offer features a hefty paycut, which is something Lewandowski has been apprehensive about. This has led to speculation over his future, with Juventus among the clubs keen on his services.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, is planning to meet the management of Juventus in the coming days to hear out the club’s proposal.
For Juve, signing Lewandowski is the most attractive proposition this summer, considering the striker’s brilliant goalscoring record in Europe, even at the age of 37.
Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti is looking for a new striker in the coming summer, and Lewandowski fits all the criteria.

There are, however, certain complications. For one, Juventus must decide on the future of Dusan Vlahovic, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
Vlahovic wants to work with Spalletti, but Juventus are not willing to increase his salary. Meanwhile, AC Milan are also interested in the services of Lewandowski.
Perhaps more importantly, Barcelona remain serious about keeping hold of the Polish international, and it is no secret that Lewandowski himself would like to continue in Catalonia.
But the Pole is waiting for Barcelona to perhaps increase their offer. In any case, nothing regarding Lewandowski’s future will be decided at least until the end of April.
