Bayern Munich is showing interest in Atalanta's Charles De Ketelaere, who has approved a potential move. Meanwhile, Dušan Vlahović is awaiting offers from Bayern and FC Barcelona as he enters free agency.
As Bayern Munich works through a potential move for Newcastle United attacker Anthony Gordon, the Bavarians are looking at other options on the market, including Atalanta’s Charles De Ketelaere:
Bayern are showing concrete interest in Atalanta’s Charles De Ketelaere (25). The player has already given the green light to a potential move. Personal terms not an issue. Bayern and Atalanta still need to sit down for talks. New discussions are scheduled for the coming weeks.
More on this: Bayern consider the Belgian’s profile a priority for this summer to bolster the forward line. His attacking versatility, technical quality, and ability to operate between the lines are particularly appealing to the club. De Ketelaere has already approved the move. Now the clubs have to agree a fee. Standing at 6’4” (1.93m), De Ketelaere can play at attacking midfield, right wing, and striker, so the versatility is there, but he would not be a direct competitor to Luis Díaz, which seems to be a big factor in who Bayern Munich ultimately signs. What do you think — if Gordon is out of the picture at some point, would De Ketelaere be a good option to bolster the attack? Well, thinks any link to De Ketelaere is bollocks: Charles De Ketelaere is not currently considered a serious target for Bayern Munich this summer.
Yes, Bayern Munich is interested in Charles De Ketelaere and he has given his approval for a potential transfer.
Dušan Vlahović is currently in renewal talks with Juventus but is also expecting offers from Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona.
Bayern Munich considers Anthony Gordon a better fit for their squad, despite De Ketelaere being a versatile option.
Luka Vušković is being pursued by FC Barcelona, while Tottenham Hotspur is trying to secure him with a lucrative new deal.

De Ketelaere has proven to be an extremely versatile option throughout his playing career, featuring primarily as an attacking midfielder and centre-forward. However, he has been known to play out wide on either flank when the occasion demands it.
Bayern Munich are still firmly concentrating on making a deal happen for Anthony Gordon. Vincent Kompany’s side believes the England international would be the best fit for the club at this point.
De Ketelaere may very well be cheaper, but his Premier League counterpart is likelier to hit the ground running in the Bundesliga.
Per this report, Tottenham Hotspur wants to ink Luka Vušković to a new, more lucrative deal, but it is unclear if the youngster is seriously contemplating a return to Spurs. If not, FC Barcelona could be ready to pounce:
🚨📈 Tottenham are desperate to keep Luka #Vuskovic next season. He is in line for a massive salary increase.
However, the market is still being explored. Top clubs are interested in him. Future open. A second loan to Hamburger SV is currently unlikely. #HSV
Pini Zahavi is also holding talks with FC Barcelona about Vuskovic these days. @SkySportDE 🇭🇷 Vušković would be an ideal player for Bayern Munich to add into the mix at center-back, but as of now, that looks to be an extreme longshot.
Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović seems to think that either Bayern Munich or FC Barcelona will make him an offer this summer:
Dušan Vlahović is waiting for an offer from Bayern or Barcelona. The Serbian striker, who will be a free agent next month, is in renewal talks with Juventus, but he and his camp are playing for time and are convinced that offers will come for him soon, especially that Bayern and Barça will be in the market for forwards. Vlahović would be a great addition to Bayern Munich’s roster, but at 26-years-old and already an established scorer, it would be an odd move to say the least.
Brajan Gruda is headed back to Brighton & Hove Albion after his loan stint with RB Leipzig ends:
🚨🔙 Brajan #Gruda will officially bid farewell to RB Leipzig on Saturday. His loan expires and there is no option to buy.
Leipzig are happy with him, but for now he will return after 3G/3A. Another straight loan is not an option for Brighton – only with an obligation to buy. A permanent transfer for Gruda is currently not budgeted at RB. It also remains open how Brighton ultimately plan with Gruda. At one point, Gruda was linked to Bayern Munich, but it seems as if that is no longer an option for the Bavarians.
Manchester City is likely looking at the trainwreck going on at Real Madrid and wondering if it can pounce on someone like…Vinícius Júnior:
Manchester City are interested in Real Madrid winger Vinícius Júnior, according to TEAMtalk. Madrid are reported to have informed the 25-year-old that they will look to move him on if he doesn’t sign a new contract by the summer, and the Premier League side are now closely monitoring his situation. It is believed that Vinícius Jr. is not close to reaching an agreement to stay put at the Bernabéu, with multiple issues remaining unresolved during recent negotiations.
Real Madrid fined the hell out of Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni for their melee:
🚨 OFFICIAL: Real Madrid statement.
“Real Madrid C.F. announces that, following the events that led to the opening of disciplinary proceedings yesterday against our players Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni, both appeared today before the investigating officer.
During their appearance, the players expressed their sincere regret for what happened and apologized to each other.
They also conveyed their apologies to the club, their teammates, the coaching staff, and the fans, and both offered their full cooperation to Real Madrid, ready to accept whatever sanction the club deems appropriate.
In light of these circumstances, Real Madrid has decided to impose a fine of five hundred thousand euros on each player, thus concluding the corresponding internal procedures”. Romano later posted Aurelien Tchouameni’s apology: 🚨 OFFICIAL: Aurelien Tchouameni statement to apologize to all Madridistas.
““What happened this week in training is 𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 — I say this while thinking about the example we are expected to set for young people, whether in football or at school. No matter who is right or wrong, we should always look for the calmest solution to resolve a conflict”.
“Above all, 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐛. I know the fans, the staff, my teammates, the management, everyone is deeply disappointed by the way this season has unfolded. But frustration cannot excuse everything”.
“These incidents, even if they can happen in any dressing room, are not worthy of Real Madrid. Especially since Real Madrid is the most talked-about club in the world”.
“Anyway, now is no longer the time to figure out who did what, who said what, or who was right or wrong. I acknowledge the club’s sanction and I accept it”.
“We remain family, with disagreements at times but we must always put our objectives above everything else. 𝐈 𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩, and I also want to extend my apologies to all Madridistas”. As it turns out, the “power of friendship” isn’t actually worth a damn. Anyway, Real Madrid might throw more fuel on to the fire as José Mourinho is in the running to be the next coach per Romano: 🚨 Real Madrid have started José Mourinho operation with direct contacts now taking place.
Benfica want Mou to stay at all costs but aware of Real talks ongoing; it depends on Madrid.
Up to Florentino Pérez: he will decide if Mourinho returns or not. *If you are looking for more Bayern Munich and German national team coverage, check out the latest episodes of Bavarian Podcast Works, which you can get on Acast, Spotify, Apple, or any leading podcast distributor…*
