Bears DC Dennis Allen sounds off on potential reunion with Cam Jordan
There's been plenty of discussion about the Chicago Bears' pass rush this offseason, especially after they opted not to address it through free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft.
Last season, Chicago totaled just 35 sacks, the seventh fewest in the NFL, which hurt their defense. Defensive coordinator Dennis Allen even went as far to put the blame on himself for the team's pass rush struggles last season and expressed his confidence with the guys currently on the roster, including Montez Sweat, Austin Booker and Dayo Odeyingbo.
But one name that's been linked to the Bears this offseason is Cam Jordan, who played under Allen during his time with the New Orleans Saints. Allen recently raved about his "outstanding" experience coaching Jordan, calling him a future Hall of Famer. So could we possibly see Jordan reunite with his former coach in Chicago?

"I don't know that there's been a ton of discussion about that," Allen said. "I think we feel pretty good about where we're at and what we have. Yet, you never know what opportunities might present themselves at some point down the road."
The Bears have invested a lot into their pass rush, be it with money with Sweat ($25.08 million) and Odeyingbo ($20.5 million) or draft capital with Booker (fourth-round pick). And after listening to Allen talk about the problem being coaching the fundamentals and technique, rather than the players themselves, it doesn't sound like Chicago is looking to add to that group, even if there's the experience factor there with Jordan.
