The final began with Potter racing into a 2-0 lead, before Beeton halved the deficit in Leg Three with a 17 dart hold of throw to trail 2-1 in a race to five. Beeton then created an incredible comeback by rattling off four successive legs and sealing victory in the ninth and deciding leg with a 21 darter to pick up a maiden PDC title as well as collecting the £3,000 top prize.
