Blow for Man Utd as Euro giants make final decision on Marcus Rashford

For their part, Man Utd would be willing to accommodate Rashford in the summer now that Amorim is gone. However, he’s unlikely to be reintegrated into the squad, whether Michael Carrick remains in charge or a new manager is appointed the squad. He would be simply allowed to train with his old teammates until he finds himself a new club.

But according to reliable German journalist Christian Falk, his next destination won’t be Bayern Munich, as the Bundesliga champions aren’t interested in his services, not even as an alternative for Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon.

*“It’s not true,”*wrote Falk in his latest column for FC Bayern Insider.

“Bayern have a list of options – it’s not just Gordon. He is the player they would like to have. However, Rashford is not on this list.”

Will Man Utd & Barcelona reach a settlement on Rashford?

In recent weeks, Barcelona have been working on securing an agreement with Rashford and his entourage, reportedly asking the player to accept a pay cut.

The LaLiga champions are simultaneously trying to negotiate a discount with United or a second loan. However, the Premier League giants are said to be hellbent on collecting the €30 million agreed upon in the original agreement.

But despite the ongoing tug-of-war between the two clubs, many observers still expect Rashford to extend his time at Catalunya one way or the other. After all, both sides would like to finalise the tranfer, and the same goes for the player, who has the desire to don the famous Blaugrana shirt for years to come.

Therefore, one would imagine that the parties will be able to reach the finish line one way or the other.
