Things are finally starting to look right for the Toronto Blue Jays, a very exciting time for a team that can use any help it can get.
Unfortunately for Toronto, the first 30 or so games of the season have been heavily impacted by injuries, though it's important to remember that it's still very early, and this was a team that was in the World Series just a year ago.
If the Blue Jays do what's needed in the remainder of the campaign and are able to get healthy, this will be a team that nobody wants to play.
That includes an injury to George Springer, one of the top veterans in baseball.
While Springer might not be what he once was, he's still very respected and has proven throughout his time with the Blue Jays that he can make a difference. According to the latest, it sounds like Springer will have a real opportunity to return sometime in the near future.

The outfielder fractured his left big toe earlier in April and has yet to play since. He has taken some live at-bats and spoke about the injury, saying that he understands he needs to get through it before he heads back on the field full-time.
"The whole goal is to just not (do anything differently),” Springer explained. “I don't want to go out there and have to adjust to something or do something that could potentially impact a leg muscle or a back or something. Trying to be as normal as I possibly can, and if it hurts, it hurts. And if it doesn't, it doesn't…
George Springer has received an encouraging update regarding his injury, which is expected to positively impact the Blue Jays' performance.
Injuries have significantly impacted the Blue Jays' first 30 games, but the team remains hopeful for recovery and improved performance.
If the Blue Jays can recover from injuries and perform well in the remainder of the season, they are expected to be a formidable team in the playoff race.
